Fondazione Jacqueline Vodoz e Bruno Danese
ll volume edito nella collana di monografie Electaphoto presenta, per la prima volta in modo unitario, un corpo molto vasto di circa duecentottanta fotografie in bianco e nero e a colori scattate da Jacqueline Vodoz dai primi anni cinquanta sino agli anni ottanta.
L’ideazione della monografia prese avvio nel 2005 per volontà dell’autrice stessa, desiderosa di veder raccolte le immagini che, in tempi e per ragioni diverse, l’avevano accompagnata per tutta la vita. Custodito negli archivi della Fondazione Jacqueline Vodoz e Bruno Danese, dove sono raccolte anche tutte le fotografie, il progetto, rivisto e aggiornato, vede oggi la luce a vent’anni dalla scomparsa di Jacqueline Vodoz.
Le immagini riguardano l’attività di fotoreporter che svolse dal 1953 al 1958, la partecipazione al gruppo di “Rivolta Femminile” negli anni settanta e le fotografie scattate durante l’intero periodo di attività della Danese (editore di design).
Due le sezioni. La prima, intitolata Le persone, racconta la Milano degli anni cinquanta, nei vari aspetti della vita artistica, culturale, sociale e politica. Seguono diversi servizi che narrano luoghi o persone, anch’essi realizzati, come i precedenti, con il giornalista Nino Alano, con il quale collaborava per i fotoreportage che venivano pubblicati regolarmente sulla stampa nazionale ed estera. All’interno di questa parte, il capitolo su “Rivolta Femminile” documenta i momenti più significativi condivisi con il gruppo a cui Vodoz aderì attivamente negli anni settanta.
La seconda sezione, denominata Gli oggetti, testimonia il suo personalissimo sguardo sul mondo delle cose, con immagini degli oggetti prodotti da Danese, alcune delle quali divenute icone indimenticabili nella storia del design.

The volume published in the Electaphoto series of monographs presents, for the first time in a unified way, a very large collection of about two hundred and eighty black and white and color photographs taken by Jacqueline Vodoz from the early fifties to the eighties.
The idea for the monograph began in 2005, inspired by the photographer herself, who wanted to see the images that had accompanied her throughout her life, at different times and for different reasons, brought together in one place.
Kept in the archives of the Jacqueline Vodoz and Bruno Danese Foundation, where all the photographs are also collected, the project, revised and updated, sees the light today twenty years after the death of Jacqueline Vodoz.
The images concern the activity of photojournalist that she carried out from 1953 to 1958, her participation in the group of “Rivolta Femminile” in the seventies and the photographs taken during the entire period of activity of Danese (design publisher).
There are two sections. The first, entitled The People, tells the story of Milan in the fifties, in the various aspects of artistic, cultural, social and political life. This was followed by several reports that narrated places or people, also made, like the previous ones, with the journalist Nino Alano, with whom he collaborated for the photo reports that were regularly published in the national and foreign press. Within this part, the chapter on “Women’s Revolt” documents the most significant moments shared with the group to which Vodoz actively adhered in the seventies.
The second section, entitled The Objects, shows his unique view of the world of objects, with images of items produced by Danese, some of which have become unforgettable icons in the history of design.
